About Alumni Affairs

The Alumni Affairs Office is a key enabler that supports network engagement between The University of the West Indies (UWI), St. Augustine and its Alumni whilst creating opportunity for meaning collaborations with prospective partners and stakeholders. We also seek to enrich the lives of our graduates by kindling new relationships and strengthen alliances that can help promote meaningful and impactful social and professional development.

Our network, which consists of over 100,000 strong graduates, live and work throughout the world and operate at various professional levels across multiple fields of discipline. This vast network can become a key resource and contributor to the social and professional development of our Alumni or even facilitate philanthropic aspirations to support The UWI in its mission to promote national and regional development through academic excellence.

Our Mission

Our mission aligns to that of The UWISTA which seeks to leverage its high global standing for higher learning excellence and its re-engineered innovation research and development ecosystem in order to deliver educational excellence, knowledge creation, and support regional development.

Critical to our overall mission is also to foster and strengthen key relationships and partnerships within our extensive community of successful UWI Alumni in order to channel resources and financial support to enable the many key strategic and academic development imperatives that are necessary for the successful delivery of UWISTA's educational and regional development mandates.

Our Vision

Our vision is to engender an inclusive, engaged, interconnected and supportive community of UWISTA Alumni, partners and key supporters that share the same passion and commitment to sustainable development, institutional success, public service and regional advancement.

Our Office

Our Office is located at the historically significant John Spence Building which is one of the oldest and original buildings of The UWI St. Augustine.
