The renovation of the flooring system for the sheep and goat unit is important to ensure heard health and operational best practice. The Project scope includes Roof renovations, installation of slatted floors, upgrade plumbing & electrical, install stainless steel counter and sinks, install force-drought oven and hammer mill for forage processing and finally replace windows and burglar proofing.

Renovate and operationalize sheep and goat production facility at The University Field Station and improve production and use of high biomass/high-quality tropical forages.
Sheep and goat production in T&T and the wider Caribbean is declining. This field laboratory is expected to serve as a model for sustainable production and management of small ruminants with emphasis on optimizing the use of tropical forages as a cheap and sustainable feed resource.

Overall Project Cost: TT$535,000.00
